The first article on new music strategies is an interesting insight into the ‘users’ enjoyment out of viewing their favourite bands website. Although biased through its depiction of music performers as overrated ego-centrical attention seekers  (especially when discussing U2) it puts very good points across about how music fans would get the upmost joy from being included in the bands stories/lives. And with this point it goes on to suggest that they new strategy achievable from this media convergence which would make the fans feel ultimately engaged with the band is for the band to actively seek out communication with their fans , too get pictures and videos with them. This is a great subtle advertising as friends of the fans would all want to see the pictures of their frined taken with the band thus their webiste gets more hits which results in more publicity and more potential fans. And because the users di not know they are being advertised to as they are seeking out these pictures/video’s with their featured friends they get more engaged with the band knowing someone who has meet them.
